What do you want to see fixed, improved or added to the Traeger App? Here's a few on my list in not any particular order. Right now it basically feels like a glorified thermometer app.

  1. Fix the custom cook cycles so I can actually "Add" one of my own. The + is there it just doesn't do anything.
  2. Fix it so the app can run in the background so notifications would still work. It seems it always has to "connect" when I launch the app.
  3. Stop focusing on the other app bits which are just a pathway to buying more products. Focus on the wifire!
  4. Trending and charting of cooks that we can see and save to learn from and share.. Similar to bbq guru sharemycook, which I still have to use because it's that much better.
  5. Alarms on different probes, cooker and meat probe.

+1 on being able to add/modify and save recipes/cook cycles.
I live at a mile-high elevation, and nothing is the same as at sea level.

I've would love to see these features added! My biggest complaint is the alarm goes off once and then goes away. I think it needs to stay on until you hit a dismiss or cancel button. The ability to track your cooks would be great as well.

They need to take a look at the MEATER app. It will beep for all sorts of settings. I like the 5 minute warning and it beeps till you tap it.

Currently, I only use it to change temps, monitor temps, and shut it down remotely.

Allow the app to go to landscape mode instead of just portrait mode. Also the ability to access the graphs of cooks for setpoint and actual temps throughout the cook. Be nice to add in the outdoor ambient temps as well.

I would like see a place where u can type the last type of pellet in the hopper. I always forget what I leave in there.

I've been experiencing issues with the app when I set alarms. When the time is up, I don't get a notification, so I have to keep checking the time. However, HOURS later, long after the cook and after I've eaten and cleaned up, I'll get a notification on my phone and iPad.

Yep, the push notifications suck. It's like the app has to be open on your screen live for any notifications to happen. Again, the reason why I still and probably will only use the MEATER to monitor both pit & meat temp. Beside, the graphs are cool.

Here's one for a pork loin I did. You can see where I removed it from the Trager at 121F and let rest as it cam up to temp. Geeky, but cool and I'm a geek anyway. :)

Make it so you see/save prior cooks.

They really should do their best to copy off of the Meater app. love seeing the grafts afterward

In order of my preference: 2, 4, 5. I also highly support 1 and 3, but would give up those for this grill (Ironwood) to be more user friendly.

I want it to do this:

Always remember temp is a guideline. Probe tender will always dictate. I have had brisket done at 199 and at 206.. I set alarm at 195 and monitor with termapop till tender. All cuts of meat finish differently. Cheers!

Yep, and the MEATER probe does that. It’s cool that messages from the app can link to my Fitbit to point out reaching desired temp thresholds.
