OK! A week ago I made a basic pulled pork (8.5lbs) and it was a success. I used the Traeger Rub. I smoked for 2 hrs at the lowest setting on 160 then cooked for approx 4 hrs at 250. Once the meat met the desires temp, I removed and wrapped in foil a with a cup pf apple cider. The final cook time was approx 4 hrs at 250. The meat was "fall off the bone" my family loved it and I enjoyed it to. I will be investing in a Smoke Tube for this fancy oven
I think the next experiment will be a Brisket. Although my opinions on this device are not (yet) flattering, I do enjoy watching family eagerly enjoying their meal. That's all that matters.
