Did a 3lb Prime Rib & turned out great. Medium rare is 135 & thought it was a little closer to medium so will do 130 next time. Doing pulled pork today. Sure will have questions.

Bought at Costco & did include a few extras.

One thing I wonder is do people have both a regular BBQ & Traeger or solely a Traeger.

I use traeger for smoking and a gas grill for grilling and high temp searing etc. I am not a big fan of all the pellet smoker companies trying to do low smoke and high searing. I wish they would put more effort into low smoking and a way to develop more smoke flavor. Maybe a second smoldering firepot just to produce smoke.
It reminds me of the ALL IN ONE STEREOS of the 1970’s. Turntable,8 track (remember them),am/fm all in one unit. NOT GREAT AT ONE THING!

Maybe a cheap grill late this year then once I figure out my likes & dislikes..... Appreciate the response.

I use the Traeger for low and slow/smoking and a gas grill for high temps and searing. Searing and high temps on the Traeger consumes lots of pallets. I still use a Weber Kettle with charcoal for roasting as well.

And I always put mine in the kitchen oven when I wrap it, no need to burn pellets during that time.
