Does anyone know if i can treat a beef roast like a brisket?

I believe it is a rump roast and i am treating its as i do a brisket. Tnx

I think a rump roast gets cooked like a CHUKIE, but Chuckies take a long time too and basically treated like a brisket cook so go for it.... it's all beef.

The roast came out pretty good. Cooked 5 hrs at 180* then rapped in foil cooked 4 more at 275* then 1 hr unrapped at 250*. It wasnt tuff but not as tender as i hoped. Got IT up to 201*. Next time i do one I'd cut it in half to make thinner. All in all it was successful!! Its the top left.

I did 3 chuck roasts on Saturday and I smoked them for about 4 hours and then I finished them in my InstantPot for 3 hours. Probably don't need to have them in the InstantPot that long, but I want to make sure the meat is tender.....which it is.
