What Cleaner or should I at all?

So recently became a Traeger family member and I have read that some are cleaning the buildup inside their smoker. I have been of the belief that simply add flavour. So my questions is what are you using to clean the inside of your grills? My end objective goal is I have ordered a sealing strip and need a clean surface so what should I use? A simple degreaser or something else? Thanks for the pointers.

Vinegar seems to work well but I don't clean the inside of mine except for washing the grate in the kitchen sink once in a while.
