Hi,

I am trying to connect the WiFire for the first time on my PRO 575 Series. The farthest step I got was a "Software Update". However, I am not sure if it finished because I eventually got a connection issue and haven't been able to connect still.

I keep getting a message that says, "Your Grill cannot find Traeger-C449," if I connect to the Trager Wifi in my iPhone. Then, when I check the WiFi Information on the Traeger, it says "WiFire Access Point DEVICE CONNECTED to Traeger-C449" when I connect to the Traeger-C449 in my iPhone's WiFi. However, it won't connect to the app.

Or, I get the message when I am connected to my home WiFi network: "Unable to Connect to Grill. Your phone wasn't able to connect to your grill please make sure the grill is on and that it is not curretnly connected to a WiFi network. On the grill, check the WiFi settings by going to Menu -> WiFi settings. If you grill is connected to a WiFi network, you can remove it from your grill by Forgetting WiFi settings". I also tried to follow directions to "Forget the Wifi" on my Traeger. However, there is no option for that under the settings or the Wi-Fi Information on the Traeger.

I have also ensured that my home WiFi was on a 2.4GHz network. And, I moved it close to my router, as well. Also tried shutting down and restarting, as well. Lastly, I tried the Store Demo option, which was supposed to restart the system, but nothing happened.

According to the website, I believe my firmware is updated on the system. It shows the following:
ABOUT GRILL
PRO 575
SW VER: 02.00.01
CONFIG VER: 04.012
UUID: 801F12CDE361
BLD: 20200204.125920

Any advice? Thanks so much.

what device are you using app(Apple,Android..etc..) Apple latest app is Ver. 1.4.3(2)

I fired up the my 575 for the first time in 5 weeks and couldn't connect to the Wifire. Eventually after deleting and re-installing the app I made the connection. But when I wanted to change the temp from my iPhone the app shut down and I had to re-start it. So still a few problems to fix yet I think.
Maluk808, power up your traeger but don't ignite. After a while look for the wi-fi connection symbol. The wi-fi settings said I was connected but my iPhone said no. After an hour into my cook I decided to re-install the app and it all worked (apart from adjusting the temp).

That may well be your problem. I spent months trying to get my Pro 575 grill/app/wifi to connect. It was fine until the software update hit (v-2.0) then nothing worked. Finally Traeger sent me new controller and that fixed the problem. Seems some of the controllers died during the update. The way Traeger knew it was the controller was the missing menu option that you described. You may be in the same boat I was in.

First time poster here. Had a pretty rough go with my wifire until tonight. I have a Pro 575 that is just about a year old. Wifire was working until they pushed a firmware update. Then, as others have experienced, it would not connect. It wouldn't even show any signal to my wifi. No changes on my end with my router, connection, etc. It was 100% the Traeger.

But tonight, I was able to get it to connect. I'm not sure what it is/was, but I'll tell you what all I did in hopes that it may help you. I'm using a Google Pixel 2 XL.

1. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled (no change)
2. Moved the grill 15' from my wifi router. (no change....still didn't see any signal bars)
3. Kept my grill unplugged for 10 minutes (no change)
4. Forgot the grill on my phone wifi settings (no change)
5. Reconnected grill SSID to my wifi network on my phone (no change)
6. Changed the grill SSID Network usage to "Treat as metered" (no change)
7. Put grill in Sales Demo mode (no change)
8. Took gril out of Sales Demo mode (no change)
9. Added the grill manually (did not use the QR code). CHANGE!

After I did #9, the grill immediately connected to my wifi network, and immediately started downloading an update. I won't lie....I was excited and nervous at the same time. After all, the last time it did this, it fritzed out. But it downloaded and installed the updates and my phone now connects to the grill via wifire.

Few interesting notes.....when I was in the WiFi Information menu before the updates, I did not have the option to forget the Wireless Network (on the grill menu). I only had the "Back" option. After the update, I once again had the option to forget the Wireless Network (on the grill).

Another note is that before tonight's update, I had SW VER 02.00.01 and CONFIG VER: 04.012. After the update, I now have VER 02.01.00 and CONFIG VER 04.016.

I also had the older app on my phone. It did not update to the new one until after I uninstalled it and reinstalled the app.

I'm not sure if it was one thing that caused things to work, or a combination of things. But I figured I'd share in hopes that it gets someone back into the smokey righteousness that they should be in.
