Agreed. I vacuum seal and freeze and my son heats it up a week later in the sous vide, and says its juicy and fresh.
If sealed properly and kept in a good freezer (below 0F/minus 18C) it will be just as good a year later....if it last that long.
 
If you have a Harbor Freight nearby, they also carry welding blankets. Amazon should also have them for those would cannot get them locally.
Old thread, but I'll post from a couple winters ago ....it's a great idea.
