My first time to use my new Traeger. Took 10-15 minutes to heat up to 225. Cooked steak for 40 minutes. Cranked up to 450 to sear and after about 30+ minutes it would not go past 420 degrees. Frustrating having to wait that long for it to heat up. How long should the grill take to heat up to 450 degrees?

Any suggestions to help speed up the preheat time?

Traeger Signature Pellets Gap is about an inch Live in San Diego 70 degrees little wind Thx
Lower the vent cap to half that and try again. If that doesn't work, lower it more. It should be able to go to 500* in about 10 minutes.
