I live in a townhome complex and I've been starting my new Pro 575 with the lid closed. Once it lights off, it smokes like crazy for about 90 seconds.
I've had a neighbor comment about the smoke and have since started looking more closely into lid closed or lid open during startup. I'd appreciate some advice. thanks

On another issue, I checked with the Traeger Service Rep. last week on this question. On the Pro 34 Series, they have changed the instructions from the instructions found in the manual. They are now indicating that the startup should be with a closed lid.

This is correct. Used to be lid open.
