I have heard of issues with the power cable coming loose during a cook. It happened to me once. Here is a pic of my solution.

My Timberline 1300 connection was loose enough that the cord fell out or came loose just enough to turn the grill off when I moved the grill ever so slightly.

My Ironwood 650 cord never a problem.

I'm going this route.

Over looked design flaw. My ironwood 650 fell out once.

I just used a Tie wrap on the rear bracket next to the plug on the T1300

Never considered that this could possibly be a problem

I have had my 780 for about a year now. It has come out several times. Not just on it's own but times I have had to move it during a cook like for rain, or someone walking by and hitting the cord. It doesn't take much on mine for it to lose connection. The first time it happened I looked at the plug and it appeared to be plugged in, but I had to push it up in to get it to come back on.
