Pro series flame out

Several times when I take my Pro 575 from a high temp (375) down to a lower temp (225) it seems to lose the flame and gives me a "LEr" message. When i take it apart the flame pot is full of unburned pellets. I have replaced the hot rod previously but it still happens.

I'm pretty sure that the hot rod is only turned on at ignition for starting up the flame. Once running, the controller handles the flame, monitoring the grill Temp and feeding pellets as needed.

When you drop the temp, the auger stops or slows to let the fire slow down but yours is flaming out. If your grill is clean and the pellets are fresh it may be the controller. I'd call support and see what they say.

One thing you could try is to open the door briefly to drop the temp when you lower the setting. I'm thinking that the controller won't stop the auger as long if you do that.
