I've had a Pro 575 with WiFire for about four months. I have used it about 10 times. Each time I try to use the included recipes in the Traeger app (I only do the easy ones), I find that the recipe and the grill are doing two different things. For example, last night I smoked some bone in pork chops. The app recipe all start out with preheat grill which as soon as I hit start cook on app the grill will preheat to 450 or whatever the preheat temp is for the receipt. With the pork chops I put on grill as recipe instructs, everything starts to cook but then that is when the grill, cook program and recipe start to go different ways. Recipe says to cook on each side for 7 minutes, grill is saying probe about to reach temp. Cook program still hitting the them with 450 preheat temp.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Am I taking the recipe written instructions too literal?
There just doesn't seem to be much symmetry between the cook program and what is written down in the actual Traeger recipe.
I know the grill and controllers work because I have been able to smoke and grill the old way with just controlling the temp settings myself.
