Put together my new and first ever Traeger this afternoon and cooking a whole chicken tomorrow (keeping it simple for the first cook) so can’t wait!!
When I unpacked the drip tray it was covered in oil. Do I wipe this off first or will it burn off when I season??
Thanks

If it is not food grade I would wipe it down just to make sure no unpleasant tastes linger.

Assuming you are going to burn the grill before the first cook, that should take care of it. It won't hurt to wipe it down first, but burn in will get rid of any residual.

SEASON that baby before you cook anything.
