Loose auger motor

I replaced my auger motor in my Traeger Select. When I took the old one off it seemed loose. The Allen screw was tight but the motor jiggled. When I put the new one on I noticed the same thing. When I turned it on the motor worked but moved a little bit as it turned the auger. Just wondering if that is normal.

I noticed same problem there nothing to hold the motor seems to be just poor design

You never know, maybe they allow a little play to avoid jamming.

Or not.
