Hi Smokers,

Mistakenly I set my Traeger Pro 575 into Demo mode. Does anyone know how I can get out of it easily? Thanks.

I put a help request to another Traeger user I know. Here is the fix:

- power up but don't ignite or set the temp (very important. If you hit ignite first this wont work)
- go to menu - settings - sales demo
- you should see the ability to select "off" under sales demo. Press it and wait for it to reset
- if you don't see the off button under the sales demo screen, it might mean you hit ignite or have the grill running.

Question, what does sales demo look like? Does it simulate grill in action, including data out to the app by chance?

Thought I had the Sales Demo issue fixed until went to warm up my Pro 575 this morning and got the "High Temperature Error" after 10 minutes. Also, has anyone ever had smoke coming from the pellet hopper? One might make the suggest to clean the firepot? My reply would be: After 3 cooks of chicken breast?

Not sure why fire backed up the auger tube in this case. I had a Junior Elite that did this a few times due to wind.

For your situation I don't know what demo did, maybe dropped too many pellets into the fire pot and caused an overtemp startup. I would clean fire pot out and I would prime the auger until I saw only fresh looking pellets going into the fire pot. Then clear the firepot again and close her up.

Normal startup begins with an empty firepot.
