So what is everyone's first mod to their ironwood going to be? I'm thinking of adding a low pellet sensor. It is available on the Timberline and I'm guessing it should plug into the d2 directly.

All the cables needed are there for what I have seen, all you need its the sensor. you should add some high temp gasket to the rest of the door.

Agreed the sure the sensor will plug in. I have some felt gasket material left over from my Weber's for the sides of the lid.

No luck in sourcing the sensor from Traeger as of yet.

I grabbed these:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TAJW0QE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and put it around the lid. Rub it down with rubbing alcohol works well for good adhesion. Makes the door close very nicely and the fan you won't hear it. No smoke leak either or very little. Sides get contact, tops and bottoms is more of a seal filler.

Thanks for the link and pics. I am going to try this on my Pro 780. I am loosing a lot of smoke by the hinge on the top right side of the grill.

These are not the best photos (of the Lava Lock, but great photos of the food) You can see the grey Lava Lock around the edge of my lid. I'ts like weather stripping for windows.

Seals up nice, and makes the lid close like a fridge door. Nice and solid
