Today was another experiment on the Traeger that turned out to be a huge success with the fam!
Pressed for time I had an 8 pound boneless (Yeah, I know I should have gone bone in, but I'm lazy sometimes) Pork Butt and dinner needed to be complete in 8-9 hours.
This morning around 10:30 I began to prep the meat.
Closed the lid and didn't lift once until we hit the 4 hour mark. After 4 hours, I removed the meat and put in in an aluminum pan. Poured about a cup of Apple Juice (warm) all over the pork and wrapped the top extremely well with tin foil.
Continued cooking at 275 until the temp was 205 degrees in the thickest part. This took about 3 hours total. I let it rest for about a hour before taking it out and started pulling it apart to serve.
The photos hopefully do it justice because it was awesome! +1 for Traeger!
