I've been trying to get Traeger to correct a badly leaking ironwood door to no avail. Before I make one more attempt, I'd like to know if this issue was ever rectified by door replacement. Please let me know if you changed the door out and what the result was.

This will help myself and others who have this issue.

A lid replacement did NOT fix the gap on my 885. I ended up installing a lavalock gasket on my lid to help seal it up.

Traeger sent two different lids (one arrived bent), each took over 1 Month to arrive, and all of them had a gap in the lower corner, grease spout side. Tried different hinges, adjustments, always the same gap.

As compensation for spending the $40cnd on lavalock gasket to "fix" the issue, they sent me a front shelf, and cover. Better then a kick in the pants I guess.

If I could do it over again, I would have either got the timberline, or a different brand. (Yoder, rec tech, GMG).

(y)(y) In the lavalock I used the same thing. I bought a roll from amazon. I installed it on my ironwood 650.

I added kamado gasket to Ironwood 650, fits and works perfectly!

Just entered the Traeger market with the 885. My lid was also giving me a hard time but with mine at least it was being held open by the factory gasket under the lid. Once I close my lid I lift up on it slightly and it falls into place and seals the sides (not air tight) but good enough until I can get an aftermarket gasket.
