I was leaning towards buying an Ironwood, but now concerned since it doesn't have a smoke stack. We will get a strong wind in from the back, and was wondering how the Ironwood will handle that wind ? Any thoughts ?

thanks

I haven't experienced any issues with wind and I have endured some severe thunderstorms with high gusts with no issues. I have put over 400# of pellets through my Ironwood and all has been good in all aspects. Cheers.

Welcome to the Traeger Forum @Mo_K - I haven't had any issues with my Ironwood 650 and wind. The nice thing about the new controller is if the fire went it, it should be able to start it up again.

The exhaust from the Ironwood's rear discharge has presented no problem. I get some wild winds where I grill and have experienced no problems. I was thinking of installing a wind baffle for the cooler months, but that's more for my comfort.
