Instead of smoking the whole packer brisket, does anyone ever just smoke the flat or point? What's better? What's a rough cook time?
 
I prefer to smoke a flat over a point. I know a lot would disagree however we prefer the flat if only smoking one or the other. Time wise it depends on weight for the most part. Prepare for 10 to 16 hours depending on the weight and an hour or 2 to rest.
