Hello All,

I am new to this Forum, but not new to Traeger Grills. I have had my grill for about 10 years and it is one of the bet grills I have ever used. I called Traeger to see if they had replacement angle drip pans and was told they no longer carry that item for my grill. My question is, the drip pan had some minor rust on it. I want the use a white wheel to clean it up and then spray paint it with the high temperature grill paint. Has anyone done this, and/or do you think that would present a problem?

Thanks in advance for your time and answers.

I don't think I'd want painted metal between the fire and my food. However, I have used Rustoleum High Heat paint on motorcycle exhaust systems with no problem. Has to be cured properly with successive heatings to higher temps until it's baked hard. I even used my Traeger to do that with a pizza oven door that I made for my son-in-law.
