Basic BBQ Burgers

In the past year I’ve made some fairly awesome meals (if I do say so myself,) as well as some spectacular abominations that even my dog would hesitate to eat That said, my most common “recipe” is the basic burger. I smoke and grill ‘‘em up on at least a bi-weekly basis and, with God as my witness, will never cook non-smoked burgers again. Could honestly eat them every day.

Anyway, here’s my super fancy “recipe”:

1) 1/3 lb patties (I like some fat in mine, and mix in a sweet bbq sauce, but you do you.)

2) Smoke for 45 minutes at 225 (I use mesquite)

3) Remove patties, pump smoker up to 450 and then grill for whatever level of doneness you’re looking for (others like to transfer them to a preheated gas or charcoal grill, and while more economical, for me more smoke is always better.

Like I said, that’s only a recipe by the most liberal definition!

OMG tough question. I was about to give some favourites, but I couldn’t pick which ones were the best. I love so many of them. Here’s a few-
Vodka Brined Salmon (Traeger website)
Breakfast fatty (Meat Church)
Wings and Armadillo Eggs (Meat Church)
Smoked Deviled Eggs (Traeger website)
