Just installed this WiFi enabled controller from Direct Igniter. Install and setup was easy. It uses the 2.4 network like all the other replacement controllers currently on the market. Now to do some testing to see how it performs. Liking the fact you can have 3 probes. App seems straight forward.

Did a couple test runs today. So far I’m liking it. Temp stays within 5 +/- degrees. Next up will be a low and slow overnight to see how it performs.

I'm considering the same controller. It seems the best bang for the buck in terms of features (3 probes, tight control, WiFi, and PID-based). Any additional feedback since initially installing? Has it performed well so far? I'd be installing it in an older BBQ07E I just picked up.

jablase,
After throughly testing, I ended up returning the controller. The app was terrible and the temp control was all over the place.

Yeah I was really bummed.
I’m wondering, does FireBoard make a controller for that model? I know they make controllers for at least some Traeger models. If my controller ever fails, I may look in that direction. Can’t say enough about FireBoard…

So did you find a different one?

I ended up reinstalling the Pellet Pro Patriot by Smoke Daddy.
