- Woodridge Base Model
Since November 2025, I have been experiencing temperature issues with my Woodridge Base Model.
So I put a standalone thermometer inside, right next ( i later found out it should if been in the center) to the RTD Thermostat. At first, it was showing a 25-degree difference between the display and the standalone thermometer. No worries, I'll just adjust the temp to a higher temperature and compare it to the standalone. Once I saw that it was at the cook temp I wanted, I was good to go.
Then, since the first of the year, I noticed an increase in differences, from 50 to 75. Again, I adjusted my cook temp using the standalone. Mid-June, the temperature difference hit 100 degrees between the standalone and the display.
I called Traeger, explained the situation, and sent them a couple of pictures of the temp comparisons. They said the RTD was most likely bad, so they sent me a new one.
They also set up for the local Traeger Dealer, a local hardware store, to come out and install it.
Now, back in business, temp differences are back down to 10-20 degrees, which the Service Tech said is okay.
