I must be stupid. I can’t seem to find any way to access a manual cook control screen in the app (ios). I can only get such a screen when I select a recipe and select “make”. But then all the settings are wrong. What can I do?

Is this the screen your trying to get to?

cook screen.webp

If so click here in the red circle..

how to.webp

Yes. And you know what? It’s something with the iphone app. When I click on the temp at the bottom nothing happens. But when I tried the Ipad, it works fine. I get the manual cook screen. The only way I can get to that screen on the iphone is to select a recipe and tell it to make. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the iphone app a bunch of times but nothing works. It does show it’s connected to the grill and displays the right temperature

This^^^^^^^
I thought I replied but it doesn’t look like it posted. I have been clicking there like a wild man. Doesn’t work. Then I put the app on my ipad and it works fine. Weird. It’s something wrong with the iphone app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled countless times. I have rebooted and reinstalled. Nothing works. I guess I will just use the ipad for now

It's gotta be a glitch in the iPhone app.

It posted on the thread.
App on Apple no longer.....

No worries.

I hope that Traeger gets it figured out soon!
I'm thinking about going from android to ios.

I have a new Ironwood 650 and use an iphone 8 and the app is working well. I know the wifi updated when I intially set it up so assume I have the latest edition. this was done about a week ago

I have a Samsung 8+ and can't get the app to connect to wifi. Called Treager and verified sw version was correct. Actually told me I to be less than 12 feet from my router. Who puts their smoker in their office where the router is at. Chose both the 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks. Will not connect. Suggested I get a wifi extender. Frustrated is not the word I would be use.

I temporarily turned off my 5Ghz wifi while I setup my Pro575 ... once it had the connection then I could turn everything back on

You said you couldn't "get the app to connect to wifi" but I'm wondering if you mean the grill since the app uses your phones connection to the local wifi network. And actually the grill uses the local wifi to connect to the cloud which then the app connects to, there isn't a direct connection from your phone to the grill (that's why we can fire up the grill from the office before we head home to through the meat on)

Sorry if I'm over-explaining.

You are correct, the grill will not connect. Bought an extender and exhausted my discussion with Traeger help line. They have elevated it to their tier 4 IT folks. $1200 and I'll be taking the grill back!!

Does it pretend to connect and then lose it's little digital mind?

When I got my Pro575 it had been on the floor as a demo unit for too long and the firmware version was too old to connect to their current set of servers which prompted them to send me a new controller unit, that fixed everything.

I've confirmed the firmware with the traeger customer service. Appears to be up to date. It just spins then tells me unable to connect to wifi

If you turn on the hot spot capability of your phone could the grill see that? It's a long shot but not all networking gear is created equal. Easier to try this then hauling the grill next door to try out the neighbours wifi.

I don't think so. I actually tried that but it didn't work. Of course for me, I'm waiting on a new controller because nothing has worked so far. I did mention to the CS rep that I tried the hotspot and he said no, that wouldn't work.
