New here, had issues for hours, online with Traeger, they decided to send me a new board.

Found a fix and had them cancel instead.

Many phones are coming with AV software installed and running, sometimes in background... for me it was "Lookout"

so here is what I did...

1. Airplane Mode (with WiFi enabled)
2. Connect Phone WiFi directly to Grill, set to auto reconnect. (you may need to forget it then add it back in manually)
3. set phone back to house router.
4. Downloaded Traeger app (for the 23rd time)
5. Force stop "Lookout"
6. Open app and Added Grill with QR Code.

...and it worked!

Hope this helps someone else in the future.

I asked support for help but they were of none. I asked specifically if I could connect my android directly and was told no, that wont work. Of course after finding the wifire password and doing it anyway it connected to the app. You have to watch the grills screen and wait for it to upgrade and reset, then I killed the app and opened it again and sure enough my grill was connected. Why Traeger doesn't know this is a mystery to me!
