I built these and have been using them hard for about 6 months. Finally got around to making the other 2 sets. I'm sorry for the price, after Etsy takes their fees, then shipping, then my time and material, this is truly just a hobby.

I used to be a manufacturing engineer so any excuse to tinker is a good day. Finding the time is the hard part!

Now you just need to add a motor, steering capability, and remote control so you can drive it all around the yard.

I don’t plan to buy these (sorry) but I do think they are cool. Thank you for sharing snd good luck.

Thank you and no worries! I should add, if anyone is up for the challenge of trying to make a set, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions. The trickiest parts are getting the correct cut angles and drilling the 7/8" holes for bushings. The picture shown is my own grill which was the guinea pig. The cuts, welds, paint, everything on the etsy sets are much improved.

No wheel lock, so you mostly made these for guys with grass areas only? Cuz anything patio or deck would mean your grill could move in high winds especially if it has a cover on.

I did this exact same thing to one of my off set smokers... it was cool, but I was only grass then.

To be honest, I made mine because I store my Traeger in a breezeway and going over the door threshold and my rough sidewalk was very annoying. My local welding shop didn't have the round for the legs, so I had to find it from a distributer (which was still hard - this is an absolutely insane steel market!). It was one of those things were they were basically going to charge me for a full 20' no matter what.

So maybe 2 other folks might like a set - or maybe not.

You are correct, if leaving outdoors on a flat surface it would be wise to chalk the wheels or take what I did and run with it!
