Yesterday was my second time cooking on my Ironwood 885. I cooked a three pound Tri-Tip. I followed Traeger's Tri Tip, Traeger Kitchen instructions to a T. However the meat came out pretty much raw. The first time I cooked, (a month ago) I cooked a six pound bone in Pork Butt following Traeger's Smoked Pulled Pork recipe/instructions to a T and it came out just right. Could someone please offer any advice as to what could of happened? Operator error? Maybe an issue with the smoker?
Thank you,
Ron

Hi all,
I called Traeger and I believe have it figured out. After I took the meat off and cranked the heat up to 500, I did not reinsert the thermometer before I put the meat back on the grill. I missed that step. I just let it cook four minutes on each side. Now I know.
Thanks again
