I'm curious for the folks that have experience with the Elite. Does the insulation save you from using more pellets? If so, how much? I go through a bag of pellets on my Pro34 on a 14lb brisket.

And would throwing a welder's blanket over the Base and Pro models improve heat efficiency?

I was in my local store viewing the different Woodridge models. One thing I noticed is when opening the lid, it gave on the side I was lifting. About 1/4" before the opposite side moved. I don't care for that. After inspection I came to realize the metal was much thinner that my Pro34. Also, I read where the storage below the smoker gets hot. If that's true I would consider the Ironwood instead. Full insulation and felt pretty beefy.
