It's been a few years since these Traeger "Turkey Blend" pellets were announced. I got a reminder email today saying the pellets & brine kit are back in stock and ready to ship. Has anyone had good results with this kit?

I used that kit last year. I do still have about half of the pellets in a sealed bin somewhere. It's a big bag for one turkey and I don't think the smoke flavor would work well on much else.

I would use a different rub and/or brine next time. I'm almost ready to give up on brining though. It's messy, time consuming, takes up a lot of space in the fridge, and I haven't ever noticed a difference in taste or texture vs. just rubbing and smoking. Might just roll with a dry rub and a butter injection this year. Might grab a small bird to do a test run before Thanksgiving. Thanks for the reminder.
