Looking to upgrade my Traeger silverton controller (pro) to a PID. My goal is to have a more consistent temperature without the 20+ deg. swing when cooking. does anyone have any experience with any other controller install such as the grilla grill alpha smoke controller, smoke daddy pellet pro or the savanna stoker?

i am not looking to purchase a new Traeger because my wife said NO...😊

I upgraded to the smoke daddy pellet pro (PID w/WiFi). Its not without any problems, but its much better than the dumb controller that came with my Traeger. If the temp does get out of range you can adjust it remote with an app on your phone.

There are 2 versions of the D2 controller, one with just a menu and ignite button and one with timer, super smoke and keep warm buttons...
‘if you are doing an upgrade, make sure that you get the one that you want....

My issue is the controller i have is the “pro” with the blue led. i can only “smoke” and set temps up to 450*. i am looking for something more stable with temperatures when cooking. from what i understand, the D2 is not compatible with my older silverton.
