Traeger Ranger Auger and Small Fan Stops after a few Minutes. HeR code follows.

Hey everyone,

I'm starting a new thread as I'm having a bit of trouble and have not found a similar problem on the internet or this forum. I have a Traeger Ranger and started getting an HeR code. After some research I saw my auger and the tiny fan attached to the motor was stopping around 1-5minutes after igniting. I have replaced the follow parts:
1. TRD Probe
2. Induction Fan
3. Auger Motor (with tiny fan)

My auger and the small fan attached to the motor is still stopping after 1-5 minutes upon start up. I have not let it run up until the HeR code since replacing Auger Motor., but read that the auger should never stop rotating? After auger motor replacement I still see that the auger and tiny fan stop at 1-5 minutes. I'm out of ideas on parts to change for this, and was hoping someone may know some tips?? Appreciate any and all help thanks!

Haven't tried replacing the controller yet, but thanks for the tip. Would the controller cause the auger and motor fan to stop if shorting out or not reading something right?

Only thing I can think of. I’m having an issue with my ranger and I replaced the probe and the induction fan but the fan won’t kick on. I have a controller on order as its got to be the connection in the controller I assume. Everything else works but the induction fan won’t fire. Auger works, hot rod ignites and then it smolders cuz theres not fan. It’s a pricey option but

I'll have to order one and see if it fixes it. I think that might be the last part in the chain to replace. Thanks for the help guys.

If it’s under 3 years old warranty should cover it.

I called Traeger support this weekend. The auger and small auger fan are supposed to stop in my model of ranger and turn on automatically when the hopper needs pellets. My HeR code was strictly due to the induction fan.. I read somewhere that the auger never stops and I was set on it being broken, but I was wrong. Used it last night and she worked great. Thanks again for all the help everyone!
