Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and new to pellet smokers.

Saturday I plan on doing my second run of baby back ribs (they came out awesome the first time around), but also want to do some smoked mac n cheese and maybe throw some wings on. Does anyone have any tips or advice on timing multiple items? My thought is to have the oven inside preheated at around 225 to keep the ribs warm after they are done (starting them at 7am). From there, turn the grill up to throw the mac n cheese and wings on so everything is ready at the same time.

Thanks!

-Tim

More info needed, do you do ribs 3,2,1? What time are you planning on eating?

Similar to a 3-2-1, closer to a 7 hour smoke when finished. Am planning on eating around 2ish. I'm just trying to figure the best way to do everything since the wings and mac n cheese I plan on doing would be at a higher temperature than the ribs and would take a lot less time. Would be nice to have a second smoker for occasions like this!

Ok. I usually do 321 ribs. I would start at 195f at the 3 hr mark wrap ribs with a little apple juice in the foil for 2 more hrs. At the 3 1/2 hr mark put the Mac n cheese on, this is the recipe I use
Post in thread 'Mac and cheese' https://www.traegerforum.com/threads/mac-and-cheese.2231/post-18206.
At the 5 hr mark unwrap ribs and sauce. At the 5 1/2 hr mark put wing on. At the 6 hr mark mac n cheese should be done as the ribs to, take them off. Turn grill to 375 to 400f for 20 to 30 mins to finish and crisp the wings.

Edit: Check wings with a reliable instant read themometer do verify doneness.

Edit: All marks are from beginning of the cook.

At the 7 hr mark, eat, at the 7:20 hr mark, lean back, burp, and exclaim "Hot Dam that was some good :poop: .... who brought dessert!!!"

Thank you guys! You spelled it out perfectly for me Timmy. Just to clarify after reading that mac n cheese recipe, I am not boiling the macaroni first or should I since it will only be on there for 30 minutes or so?

I'd say yes, but a couple of minutes less than normal, they will finish in the grill.

Mac n cheese take about 2 1/2 hrs or so should go on at the 3 1/2 hr mark and take off grill at 6 hr mark. And no do not boil the noodles.

I would also bump temp to 205 to 215f after the first 3 hrs.
