Help! Timberline Conversion From AC to DC

Has anyone attempted to convert their Gen1 AC Timberline 1300 or 850 to a Gen2 DC grill? All the Gen2 DC parts are available online including the DC induction fan, DC auger drive, DC power pack, and DC controller. But don't know if these parts would bolt on to the Gen1 grill framework. I called Traeger and asked and of course they said nope. I also asked if they have an upgrade kit. Again nope. Yoder recently upgraded their control system and is providing an upgrade kit to keep their past customers current and happy. Why not Traeger?

Well, first off, the guy you are asking hasn't been back here in 18 months, and no one ever replied and he never posted again, and Traeger told him no, so I doubt he had any success with this. I'm just saying
