Timberline 1300
I have a Timberline 1300 and grease accumulates in the middle of the pan and then simply runs to the bottom of the grill.. At the back of the grill there are 2 tabs that will allow the drip pan to lean/angle and go into the grease trough. Is the pan supposed to be on one of those tabs and angled towards the trough?

The drip tray definitely needs to be angled towards the front to allow it to drain properly. Use a small level to check, but I believe the pan should sit on the tabs at the back. I can check mine when I get home from work if you need it.

Sorry for the delay. I got busy after work. I took the pics, though. This is how my drip tray sits in my T1300. What does yours look like? I'm not sure what you mean by "two tabs above the cutout."

Here is a couple pics. The opening on the bottom allows the drip tray to be flat. The 2 tabs above it allow for the drip tray to angle.

It is not the position that you have it in it is the tray itself. I have solved the issues with the newer timberline models with my heavy drip trays. 3x as thick and much better design. Send me a PM with the model and zip code and I will get you a quote.

To all forum members- I bought one of Shawn's heavy-duty, stainless steel drip trays and fire pot heat shields three years ago for my T1300 D2. I use my grill several times a week and his gear is fantastic- the best accessories I've purchased for my T1300 D2. It has a proper full-lip that sits completely into the front drip collection trough, proper flanges on left and right side that accommodate not only foil but also Traeger pre-made foil drip tray liners. Lastly, it has a solid tab that drops into the rectangular tab at the back of the grill so you have an actual drip angle if you aren't using a drip catching pan. Most of the time I leave his drip tray flat as I like to use the bottom most grill flat and low to the heat and I use a big roasting pan to catch drippings for turkey or pork butts, etc. It was pricey, but man- it's been like having M1A1 tank armor inside my T1300. Just disappointed that Trager cheaps-out on such a critical item but glad Shawn is around.
