Thermocouple Short

I slightly damaged the thermocouple on assembly but everything works fine. My question is if in the future the T/C shorts out, does the unit see zero temperature and call for max heat? I would like to avoid a flaming lawn ornament.

Traeger will send you a new one if you ask them... You might wanna post a PIC if you think its bad enough... or a new one is only $25
