I’m planning a flyIn trip to Tennessee. Memphis or Nashville? I know Memphis is known for its Bbq more than Nashville. Going for the bbq. Good craft beer is a close second choice. Any recommendations welcomed.

Kansas City scores twice as high as any of those places. Memphis is a :poop: hole. The city makes all their money on entrapment following tourists after nights out.

It has been years since I have been there, but there is a well known bar in Nashville called "Robert". Look it up to see if it is still there & other particulars.

Not sure that you can get either BBQ or Craft Beer there, but if you are in Nashville, it is worth going to. You will be in Nashville, so music is their main calling card.

I love TN! Most of the time I'm visiting the tourist traps like Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, but I recently took the family to Nashville for a couple days and enjoyed it. I don't recall seeing many BBQ places though.... I'd suggest somewhere else for BBQ

Nashville will be more fun. I would steer away from Memphis at all costs. I have in-laws in Sevierville and I make sure we always do NOT need to gas up in Memphis on the way there or back. Nashville has all sorts of things to do and see.

As far as BBQ goes, I'm usually disappointed since I'm a BBQ snob. :)

When I visited Nashville I stayed at the Opry hotel and they have a Jack Daniels restaurant built into it with brisket and while it was good I was also a snob and wished I had made it myself lol
