Temps way off

So just purchased the Pro 575 about three weeks ago. The first time I used it I set the cooking temp at 225. The smoker sat at that temp but my Thermoworks temp said the actual cooking temp (at grill level) was 40 degrees under that.

Called treager, shipped me a new controller. Installed it and here I am with the same issue. I have to set the smoker at 260 in order for Thermoworks to read 225.

I trust my Thermoworks to be spot on to be actual temps.

Is this normal for these? This is my first pellet smoker. All I've ever cooked with is wood so getting use to these set and forget machines. Any help would be great..
