Stuck auger

I am trying to fix my Son-in Laws lil Tex Traeger. He thought the auger motor went bad but actually the auger is stuck in the bore. I so far have tried vice grips on the auger end and going back and forth with no results. I have put the grill on it's side and squirted wd40 down the tube and still no go. Are there any good tips or tried and true methods to get the auger to free up? Thanks for the help. Doug

Ok, I got it free finally. What I ended up doing was taking a propane torch and holding it at both ends and got it smoking. I then took my heat gun and pointed it at the stuck auger. 2 hours later, I was able to get it free. The heat gun acted like a fan and burned the petrified pellets in the auger tube.
