Hey guys, it’s been awhile. We built a house and the last year and a half or so has been pretty hectic. Hoping to be back here more going forward. Anyway, I have a covered patio now which is great for my cooking. My issue is that the smoke will get “trapped” inside my ceiling and kinda creates a haze inside there. It’s not just the grill spot too…..but spans across the whole patio. When we first started the design process we discussed directional fans with the architect, but didn’t push forward with it. I guess an exhaust style fan line in the kitchen would’ve been an idea, but maybe too late now. Anyone have a similar issue? I think it’s the cedar beams runnin across the ceiling the almost trap the smoke inside.

FYI I haven’t even ran the Traeger. Just burgers on the gas grill.

I have a similar layout, I roll my smoker or grill to the end of my patio and with a slight breeze the smoke exits away and not against the house. (my house is white with large windows in the back) I do have to run a short extension cord but this has not caused any problems. Looks very nice, I especially like the design of your support posts, made me think about mine.

Nice set up @CMTiger
Like Smoke has suggested, that'd be the easiest fix, moving the grill when you go to use it.
Even in my gazebo, all my grills are along the outside wall-space. My gazebo does have a center roof vent. Which comes in handy for the winters when my covers go up
