What’s the highest temperature you’re able to achieve and maintain?

Thanks

Prior to the latest firmware, when set at 500 it would run around 560f. Now it holds nicely at 500 - 510f as u can see in the pic's prior to the update the actual with external probe was higher and now it's closer to setpoint.

I have hit 505F maximum.

Sounds about right. Also keep in mind that some pellets will burn differently and hotter than others based on manufacturers but all in all of ur hitting 505f all is good. Now add a set of grillgrates to boost your searing temps and all be good if you want higher temps.

Thanks for the replies.

Mine hit over 700 and held there, which would have been really cool had it not been set to 170. Brand new Ironwood 650. Treager customer service was not much help. After no fewer than 6 conversations with them they decided to swap out controller. I called back 3 days later to get a tracking # and they said it was on back order. Called the store I bought it from and made them swap it out. New grill holds firm at 500-515 just fine.

Thanks for all the replies. I pulled the trigger on the 650 at a great price. It’s being delivered tomorrow.
