Pulled the Trigger on The Traeger 650 - Full Throttle

Ironwood 650 arriving this week from Ace. I have been smoking for years with a cheap propane powered smoker and weber iGrill monitors. Just bought a couple of bags of lumberjack pellets that I found on sale and Ace had a promo for a free cover and bag of Traeger competition pellets. I think I will grab a front shelf that I saw at Home Depot this past weekend. I think I’m ready to go. Do you guys think I should buy some lava lock to create I tighter seal. I have seen that suggestion floating around on the web.

After you finish prepping the grill on your first smoke, see if you are leaking smoke from the gap between the lid and the base. If so then get some lava lock and resolve the issue….

Thank you. I am looking forward to it. Got a little skeptical as I have read about a lot of issues with controllers etc. If your going to spend $1,100+ you would expect perfection not excuses.
