Poor WiFire Alarms

Smoked ribs, 321 method yesterday on my 885. Bought it last weekend, so this is my first long smoke. Ribs came out good,

The alarms for temp and time are poor at best. If your not near your phone when the alarm goes off, you will miss it. I have switched over to my Weber iGrill 2 for temp and iPhone timer.

My iPhone has the full notifications lock screen, Notification center and banners activated. Also set banner style to persistent. Have sounds and badges on also.

Any suggestions?
