Pellet hopper

Can the pellet hopper be used without the insert with all the holes in it. It is a pain when you change pellets you have to remove a screw and the insert

Thanks, I think I will do the same. I just cannot figure what the purpose for it is. All it does is get in the way when you want to change pellets.

It is so "some people " dont get there fingers in the auger. Its a liability thing.

I've taken the "IDIOT" frame out of all of my Traegers. That thing is there only because of lawyers preventing Darwin candidates.

I un-screwed mine then tightened the screws below the frame, but left it in. If you have kids that like to stick their fingers in things (play with the pellets) when you are not looking...
