I used pecan pellets from Traeger on smoking a turkey breast & tri tips. Both turned out really delicious and moist. I didn’t even brine the turkey.Actually I forgot the evening before to brine it. Oh well, it still turned out great.
Anyway, any recommendations on other brands for pecan pellets? Traegers are high priced and would like to use more pecan in the near future.

I have a 40lb bag of Pecan Pitboss I have to use up soon.
Got 80lbs of Pitboss I gotta get rid of and order more Bear Mountain ASAP

A friend of mine was moving to another state and took his Traeger but left me some unopened pellets. One unopened bag was Brisket Blend which Traeger says are a mix of Oak, Pecan and a hint of Pepper. Has anyone tried these and were you happy with the results? Also would they work for other things besides brisket?

I got a free bag of these with an order of pellets I got. The pellets are nice and firm, burned well. I didn't notice any flavor profile from them. There was smoke present, just like most pellets in my opinion regardless of brand, not a lot of flavor. I wouldn't have an issue using them with pork either.
I cook chicken at a higher temperature so the type of pellet doesn't matter really, so I would even use these with Chicken
