I just made this one mostly following this recipe with a couple exceptions: https://www.traeger.com/recipes/smo...VIc_nGmIK7pXx0_8qWEB78CTpYj1FbHwch-VqYQpBlBvG

I coated it with Orange Marmalade (instead of mustard) before rubbing then added an inch of orange juice in the pan at 165 degrees instead of apple cider. Removed at 197 degrees and rested in the oven for a couple hours before shredding.

Had family and friends over and it was a huge hit!

What kind of ham was it, bone in, spiral ??

Sorry I forgot to mention. It was a bone in uncured. From the half hog we bought last fall.

The incurred is nice, as I find the meat to be more tender, and not “cooked” by a brining,,,, did you just do the marmalade coating, and no salt based rub on it at all ?

I did put BBQ rub on it after coating with Marmalade. Kind of an obscure brand my son in law got me at a brewery in Montana called Kettlehouse cold smoke bbq spice rub.

The Kettlehouse Cold Smoke beer is fantastic BTW

Damn auto correct, should have read “uncured”,,,,,LOL

I’m always on the lookout for a new rub or beer, but Kettlehouse is not a brand I have seen up here in Canada!!

Going to try the pulled ham next weekend!!

Good luck! I think you will like it. I heard a friend talking about the marmalade and I know apple cider is out of season around here so I went all in on orange.
