Hi all. New member on 8/25.

Just moved back the the Great NorthWet (yea..yea..NorthWest) and getting back into cooking again. For health and relocation reasons, I sold my four smokers before moving from TX back to WA. Been looking/wanting to try Traeger for some time now and happened be at the right Costco.

I have background in comp cooking (WSMs, Cookshack 125, stick burner) but haven't cooked in a while now so I'm looking forward to getting to know my 810.

Welcome to the forum! Looks like you are an experienced smoker so you should find it easier to master Traeger cooking.

The one issue I will strongly recommend is for you to get a third party ambient and meat probe(s). The Traeger is a good grill, but the probes are quite unreliable.
