Congratulations

Same grill I just purchased as well. Haven't done much cooking on it yet, only my second weekend with it. My set up and install went similar to yours. Was happy to not have any setup issues on the WiFi. Mine even updated to 2.01.00 last weekend.
I have some pork bellies making some smoked bacon as well as smoked garlic on it right now.

This is the biggest Ironwood issue is the lid, and that’s debatable.

My lid isn't an issue, but I did add a felt gasket seal when I assembled mine. It works quite well. I was happy to have heard about that fix here on the forum

Congratulations. I have the 650 as well and love it. Definitely recommend a set of grill grates. They make them for the 650 to lay on top and easily add another 100-200 degrees. Puts an awesome sear on steaks and burgers. I flipped them upside down this weekend and made some killer burgers.

Can you post pictures of your grates? How many do you have and do they cover the full grill? Is it necessary to cover the full grill?

I ordered the kit which was 3 and the spatula (around $100 total). Using all 3 covers up most of the 650 but you could get away with using just 2. I'll post some pics shortly when i go outside to vacuum it out after this weekends cooks.

Yes set up was a breeze wifi connected right up. Seasoned the grill and was able to start grilling. Made some tri tip low and slow and used the super smoke feature. Came out great. Pellet Sensor is nice but not really accurate once the pellets aren't level.

Grill Grates are my next purchase. I reversed sear some tri tips and even tho the grill got to 500 no grill marks. Which Size did you go with?

I noticed the side of the lid was leaking a little smoke. But I don't think it affected my cook times at all. IM sure if can to the quick fix as well.

Same, no sear marks for me even at 500 which was a little disappointing but expected with a pellet grill, I went with 16.25 https://www.grillgrate.com/grillgrate-sear-station-for-the-traeger-ironwood-650-885/

I did a NY strip after seasoning them and it turned out great. I flipped them upside down as a griddle and did some burgers on them this weekend. I have an IR thermometer on order to get some accurate grate temps with and without them but the results speak for themselves.

That tri-tip looks awesome. What temp and time did you go with?

I went with super smoke on 200 till internal temp hit 125 pulled them off and set the grill to 500 and once they hit 140 internal temp take them off and let them rest.

I think I'll be ordering those grates asap!

Awesome. That smoke ring is perfect. Tri tip is on my list for sure.

They sent me a 10% off promo code after ordering. Not sure if its only for accessories or for everything but its SHARE20

I used it to pick up some gloves, duck fat spray and a Maverick IR thermometer
