Lid Reinforcement

Hello,

I have a pro series 34 and after a winter of use with the insulation blanket, the hinges, lid and the stop for the lid bent. Traeger is sending me replacements under warranty, but has anyone done anything to reinforce the hinge/lid to prevent this in the future?
