Magnet? something for sale? DIY ideas? I would like to keep all my Traeger accessors...on my Traeger. Including the power cord.
Thanks all,
Anthony

Do yourself a favor, and buy an accurate probe set. I haven’t seen or heard of an accurate Traeger probe, no matter how many times it has been calibrated or replaced by warranty....
An accurate probe set costs about the same as two ruined briskets...

Last weekend I noticed something numerically I had never considered before, at home. I had occasion to monitor and plot a brisket cook with a new multi-channel temp/probe setup and found the grate temperature to be as much as a hundred degrees (F) higher than the Traeger temperature display due to radiant heating, especially when changing to a higher temperature--even going from 225 to 275, the temperature at the grate rose to well over 320 degrees for quite a while. If the thermometer is feeling it, the food is feeling it.
The Traeger flame deflector deflects all that heat onto the bottom of the drip pan, not just into the air.
I keep my smoker temp probe clean of all gummy residue and I just ordered another air probe so I can concurrently compare the air temp at both the Traeger probe location and the exhaust outlet.
This will give me some confidence in the Traeger probe accuracy (verification by comparison) and the average air temperature as it leaves the stack.

That’s why many of us here don’t trust either the Traeger ambient probe or the totally useless meat probe, and instead use FireBoard II for accurate temp measurements.

I store my Traeger probe in my garage stored in a nice, sealed box and the little baggie it came it! It's in my garage somewhere but not exactly sure where!
It's next to mine, Murphy!!!! I threw that sealed bag somewhere, damned if I know where now... 😄

I stored mine in the trash after I ruined a couple of chickens. Glad it was just chickens and not a $70.00 prime brisket..
